Notes Collections
Currency Notes / Bank Notes Collection, Ravi Somani is collecting Indian Bank notes / Currency notes since British Period till now. I have learned a lot about Indian History and many interesting facts about India through this collection. In very beginning in early 19th Century the Bank notes were printed on ONE SIDE which were called Uniface notes. During the reign of King George V a bank note of 2 rupee 8 anna was also introduced.
The early 1 rupee note were quite small in size, to save Paper. The bundle of such notes was of 25 pcs. not of 100 pcs like present bundles.
After Independence High denomination currency notes were introduced and later withdrawn by Government of India, such notes were in very few number hence considered Rare. Such Bank notes were of Denomination Rs. 5000/- and Rs. 10000/- While collecting Bank Notes one must collect the Bank Notes which are having Good Condition like notes which are not Torn, not having any stain or marks. Also keep the Bank Notes in a good quality Collection Album so that there is no damage to the Note due to Humidity, dust and other weather effects.
Collecting Bank Notes is a very interesting hobby which gives great pleasure and if you collect good quality notes surely your collection will appreciate in value as well and give a good return if you decide to sell such bank notes at later date.
